Prior to joining the Mayor’s Fund, Sallie made significant contributions during her tenure as the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Vegas Chamber. Her exceptional work involved collaborating with major and strategic accounts, and she played a key role in spearheading programs such as the Vegas Chamber Executive Women’s Council, which brought positive changes to the business landscape of Las Vegas.
Sallie’s passion for community development and expertise in business development were further honed given her responsibility overseeing business development for several leading commercial general contractors. She has also held prestigious leadership roles, including serving as the 2011 President of NAIOP Southern Nevada, the local chapter of this well respected Commercial Real Estate Development Organization. As a co-chair of its Government Affairs Committee, Sallie focused on addressing state policy issues relative to commercial real estate development. She is recognized as a founder of the award-winning NAIOP Southern Nevada Developing Leaders Institute.
Sallie’s commitment to Southern Nevada extends beyond her professional engagements. She has actively participated in the Southern Nevada Forum and was a valued member of the 2014 City of Las Vegas Strong Cities, Strong Communities grand prize-winning team for UARRC (Unmanned Aerial & Robotics Resource Center). Her dedication and contributions have earned her numerous awards and designations, including NAIOP National Volunteer of the Year, NAIOP Southern Nevada Associate of the Year and Spirit of Spotlight, In Business Women to Watch, In Business Person of Influence, and CCIM Southern Nevada Associate Member of the Year. In recognition of her expertise, Governor Brian Sandoval appointed her as a member of the CA-NV High-Speed Ground Transportation Commission in 2015.
Originally born in Fargo, North Dakota, Sallie has called Las Vegas her home for nearly 30 years, after residing in Southern California for an extended period. She pursued her education at Fullerton College and is a distinguished graduate of the Vegas Chamber’s Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2014.
